as the representative entity for the Free Zone Enterprises when
dealing with the Government and other organizations from the private
sector.
From the beginning,
this organization has been characterized as an entity that searches
to improve the operating conditions for member enterprises of the
Regimen, and at the same time, the organization has worked hard
to find solutions for problems between the corporations and the
Free Zone Regimen, Trade and other issues.
To be the Asociation
that sucsessfully promotes development, well being and protection
of interests for the corporations that work with the Free Zone Regimen.
· To influence
the decision making that affects the Free Zone Regimen,
by having periodical meetings and establishing a permanent flow
of information with the related entities (Trade Department,
PROCOMER,
The Ministry of Treasury, The Ministry of Foreign Commerce, etc.)
· To facilitate
the creation of new corporations, by establishing an strategic alliance with the institutions that work in attracting this kind
of investment.
· To maintain
permanent communication with the affiliates.
· To develop
a research and information program that specializes on the Free
Zone Regimen in Costa Rica and other regions.
· To promote
commercial and business relations between associates and national
enterprises interested in the Free Zone Regime in Costa Rica.
AZOFRAS
currently has the next set of Working Committees, formed by any associate
that wishes to participate in them.

OPERATIONS AND TRADE MATTERS COMMITTEE:
Objective: To study every aspect related to daily operations and
legal matters at the Free Zone, such as:

- Trade Procedures
Handbook
- General Trade

AFFILIATES AND INSTITUTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS COMMITTEE:
Objectives:
-To strengthen AZOFRAS representative
ness when dealing with the Free Zone corporations and related entities.
-Consolidation
of links between AZOFRAS and
other Associations and Chambers, in order to complement the activities
of the free zone enterprises, in both national and international
levels.

PARK DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE:
Objectives:
To identify any problem suffered by developed corporations of the
Industrial Parks at the Free Zone, and to search for their solution,
creating a common front that defends the interests of these Auxiliaries
to the Public Trade Function. This Committee holds meetings once
a month.
